The aim of this project is to teach children respect for older people and on the other hand to add the charm into the Seniors free time. Our foundation’s grandmothers and grandparents read books to children, tell them fairy tales and create with them art works. Thanks to these meetings, children have the opportunity to learn from older people with whom not all of them have the opportunity to stay in other circumstances. The project brings mutual benefits and enjoys great interest.
On 4th December 2017 our Seniors went on a trip to TVP. It was organized as a part of the Foundation program "Seniors going out". Almost everyone arrived ahead of time and eagerly awaited the start of sightseeing. The guide showed the TV rooms "from the backstage". During the tour, Seniors were taken on a journey through the TV history. They found out when the Polish Television was established, how TVP evolved and changed over the years. They could look at the old times cameras as well as “Wisła” TV sets. They reminded themselves of the famous Polish cartoons characters - Jacek and Agatka, as well as Kulfon and Monika. The guide showed the nooks and crannies of TV studios where such programs as, for example, “Good morning Poland” and “Questions for Breakfast” are recorded. Seniors have asked a lot of questions and willingly took pictures in the TV rooms.

On 24th October 2017, with a large group of our Seniors (nearly 60 people), we celebrated the International Day of Older Persons (which is on October the 1st)
As a part of the event, Seniors were watching the play "Husband and wife" of Aleksander Fredro in Teatr Polski. The director, Jarosław Kilian moved the action of the play to the interwar period, specifically to the time just before the outbreak of World War II.
This adaptaion induced a skilfull mix of different emotions, from joy to anxiety. Very successful update of the Fredro’s perception of the world. Throughout the spectacle, our Seniors - and the whole audience - enjoyed themselves, but they left the theater very contemplative. The Seniors pointed out that they had not seen a classic play so skillfully updated and at the same time preserving the style and humor of nineteenth-century author.
On 8 th of June 2017 a group of our Seniors once again had the opportunity to participate in a lecture run by a dietitian. The meeting was held under the project Senior Knows More, implemented in accordance with the program PROsenior. The meeting theme was "Anti-cancer diet. Cancer prevention". The speaker talked about how to eat to prevent the development of the disease. She pointed out products that especially expose people to cancer and those that counteract this disease and support healthy living. The meeting took place in a pleasant, talkative atmosphere, because the Seniors had a lot of questions to the lead person. Participants came out with a deep conviction about the importance of properly balanced diet and physical activity in order to prevent the development of serious cancer and, in fact, to enjoy better health.
